Manga hasn’t seen anyone wear their MoMA-themed baseball cap yet, but he believes that they would make for an excellent addition. They would make more sense than the Yankees cap that came out as part of Is Fashion Modern? in 2017.

47 Brand stands apart from many other hat brands by providing one-size-fits-all caps; however, their customer care advisors advise using the company’s hat fitting guide for an accurate measurement of their head. The Black Cap is a fitted black hat worn by the team during home games on Fridays. Featuring their Southside logo on the front and the MLB Batterman logo on the back, fans can quickly locate this stylish yet classic cap within their wardrobes, making this City Connect product one of its best-selling items.
The Reds’ inaugural City Connect set was an unqualified success, yet it could have been even more significant. Unfortunately, its design veered too close to what had already become familiar with in their uniforms and logo and was perhaps too simple, with almost indiscernible red outlines on their team logo almost becoming invisible, though one redeeming feature was its unique use of five in their logo to represent all five World Series championships achieved by this franchise.
This hat was designed with Los Angeles surf culture in mind, featuring its name on the brim and a visor patch that recalls Los Angeles’ historic railroad system. Furthermore, this cap employs an eye-catching color scheme similar to that worn by the Los Angeles Dodgers but more colorful and daring than their current red jerseys.
Even though their fan base well received the City Connect uniform of the Pirates, its design may have been less daring than some of its counterparts. While its colors were more vibrant than previous navy uniforms, and it featured yellow accents incorporated into its design – it still felt too conservative compared to some of the other uniforms on display.
The Giants’ uniform is one of the more subdued items in the City Connect line. Their base color was taken from their iconic Golden Gate Bridge, while other colors remained neutral. My only suggestion would be to add an image of said bridge on their hat’s brim; otherwise, they should have taken more risks with their uniform design, being such an iconic team.
When thinking of the Tampa Bay Rays, your mind likely doesn’t conjure images of a cap that would look good in a music video featuring Lil Wayne. Their current official cap may look acceptable but is one of the least attractive caps in baseball; its lettering lacks distinction and color scheme lacks character; alternative hats with navy blue and green color combinations and an animal logo have no place being part of an MLB uniform.
The Tampa Bay Rays are not alone in their difficulty in securing an appropriate cap to complete their City Connect uniforms, with many teams having difficulties. Some, like Houston Astros, have found success combining NASA with Texas culture – as evidenced by their NASA cap and their other ones with peacock-inspired mascots like their other one featuring an orange brim that stands out too much against uniform colors; another cap, however, seems more like something from grade school art class than anything else.
Other teams have taken more risks with their City Connect uniforms but have still fallen short. For instance, the Arizona Diamondbacks combined desert colors with Hispanic culture for an unforgettable look that stands out.
Oakland A’s team uniform utilizes their primary colors of green and yellow. While not having as much cultural relevance as its Yankee counterpart, this uniform still looks good – it could even be made better if their mascot served as a representation of those colors instead of just sitting perched atop a bat!
No matter if it’s for everyday wear or your favorite Mets team, The MLB Shop is sure to have something suitable.
